Answering some questions:
Once on the ship, do we get a day off?
From what I can tell, we do not. This is true for all performers. We think Zayah and Gamble's chillest day will be Pirate Night as we are only in two shows, briefly.
Overall I heard our schedule is pretty chill. Typically for us, it sounds like, our first show doesn't start until the afternoon. We haven't received our official show schedule yet.
What if we get sick?
For every show there is a contingency plan if any performer calls out. Nearly everyone has an understudy. And if they don't that means there is an alternate script that was written and we will memorize it to fill in the gaps for that missing person.
For Zayah and Gamble, particularly for our shorter shows, one of us just does the whole show without the other. For our longer shows, they have it where Gamble steps into my track and then someone else fills in his track. Not sure what that will look like? Will they be called another name? Probably, but idk yet!
Can we get off the ship at each port?
Yes, we can. I know we'll have time to go to the beach at all the ports. But that's all I know.
What we've been up to:
Saturday, Jan 10: Since we've been memorizing our butts off we got ahead of schedule! Caulumn and I were given the day off!
I slept in. Went to the gym. Ventured to the mall, the Eaton Centre, to buy my Disney greeter shoes: a pair of white sneakers, and a pair of black dress shoes. These are not provided by Disney. I found my white shoes at Winners, Toronto's equivalent to TJ Maxx.

Caulumn and I then went to dinner at Noir, North America's first-ever restaurant where you experience food and drinks in complete darkness. And I mean COMPLETE. The waiters are blind and they lead you to your seat with hands on shoulders. You go through double doors and some curtains and then you are in total darkness. You hear other folks at their tables and the clinking of silverware on plates. At first I actually felt a bit claustrophobic. It was so strange. Then after five minutes my brain settled into the darkness and accepted that Caulumn was just a floating voice somewhere in front of me. Unfortunately, the food was not good, haha, but the experience was unlike anything I had ever done. I would love to do it again with better food.

Post dinner we met some cast members for drinks and then ventured to a gay bar. Because at Disney, we're all just a bunch of princesses and queens.
Sunday, Jan 11: Our normal day off. Memorizing.
Monday, Jan 12: 9:30am-6pm. We started and finished "Let's Cook Up A Story" - our Princess and the Frog show.
Tuesday (today!): Half day of rehearsal then flying to Orlando for a costume fitting tomorrow morning!
Wednesday, Jan 14: Costume fitting at 8am then off to EPCOT for fun! (Hopefully. EPCOT depends on what time we have our costume fitting.)
We catch our ride to the airport at 5pm, then back to Toronto!
Thursday, Jan 15: Since we land in Toronto around midnight we'll be called in the afternoon around 1pm for rehearsal.
Disney Song Inspiration Post #5: "You Can Fly" from Peter Pan (1953) Quick history! 1904 - "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie is a play onstage in London (He invented the name Wendy!)
1913 - A kid named Walt Disney sees a touring production of the show
1924 - The opening of the "Peter Pan" silent film (not by Walt Disney, but he saw it!)
1939 - Disney gets the screen rights
1941 - Disney completes story board but onset of WWII stops development
1953 - Post war they get going again and the film has its opening! (This is also the first time that Peter is played by a boy! Every iteration beforehand Peter was played by a woman.)
