Headed Into Cruise Number 14

Hello!
Cruise life continues to be a rollecoatser. Just when you have a good day, feel you have the hang of it, or feel somewhat rested, something happens.
Sickness, a busier schedule, losing something, you scene partner getting on your last nerve, etc.
When it comes to performing this life is predicable and consistent, but in other ways it is not. Since the ship is always being worked on you never know what is going to be closed and when. Weather plays a part in this too.
Just when you think you know when and where to get your coffee, something is closed. Same with areas to sit on the ship.
It's annoying.
I am missing having a free night. Every now and then we have long mornings of nothing but never nights. The idea of finishing work at 6pm with nothing to do and a glass of wine sounds amazing.
Happy to report that this current cruise schedule reflects some necessary changes we have been asking for from our CPM (Character Performance Manager), ACD (Assistant Cruise Director), and CD (Cruise Director).
They are:
-Only seven De Vil shows on a five day cruise (All Nassau cruises had been scheduled for eight and it pushed us over the edge.)
-Cutting our first stroll on pirate night.
-Greeter shifts are non-guest facing. Meaning they are behind the scenes. Ex. Escorting Chip n Dale to the kids club, wait while they dance with the kids, and escort hem back.
These changes have helped immensely in saving us from vocal fatigue and making me feel a little more human.
We're still asking that they cut or move our De Vil's show that is currently between our two Marvel shows on a 4-day cruise. It feels like too much. They initially said "no", but we are fighting it.
It was lovely having Xan onboard last cruise. Although that schedule felt like too much, it was still nice to have her! It was fun dining with her and eating so much in the restaraunts. For the crew that have the privilege of dining in restaurants (Entertainment and Officers) it's $20 to dine, if they have space.
Xan was a sign on and able to get an internal room upgrade! Hooray.

The cast had a wig party the other night.

About two weeks ago we were ported in Nassau and so was the Disney Wish! We were allowed to board and look around.
